Don’t miss today’s plenary lectures! First up is Lewis Cantley with his presentation entitled PI3-Kinase: connecting diabetes, obesity and cancer; the talk will begin at 08.20 in the auditorium and will be followed by the ECE 2015 Presidential Address. The second plenary lecture is the European Hormone Medal Lecture which will be awarded to Stephen O’Rahilly for his work on the genetic basis of obesity and insulin resistance.
Another highlight of today’s programme is the much anticipated debate Europe vs USA: how to manage hyponatraemia according to guidelines? which will take place in the auditorium from 11.15. For more information about the issues surrounding the management of hyponatraemia visit the ECE 2015 blog and read the debate chair, Mark Sherlock’s, introduction to the topic.
