You will apply your excellent communication skills to raise awareness of stroke
research and The Stroke Association. You will proactively promote the research
activities of the Association to the public and the health community.
Working within the Research and Development Directorate you will enhance and
manage the monitoring of the outputs and outcomes from all research funded by The
Stroke Association. You will identify newsworthy results, and liaise with the
Communications Team to ensure research activities obtain maximum publicity through
the media and the production of publications for the public and healthcare
professionals. You will also assist the Fundraising Directorate to market research
activities to optimise income generation for The Stroke Association.
With a professional attitude, you will be educated to degree level or above in a science-related
subject. Preferably with communications experience in the voluntary sector,
you will have the ability to translate a medical publication into an interesting lay article.
You will also understand the need for tact and diplomacy to effectively forge links and
liaise with colleagues or health professionals.
This is an ideal opportunity for a committed individual looking for an exciting
progressive role within a diverse team, and who would like to make a difference to
those affected by stroke.
