Summer Vacation Scholarships

The University of Nottingham, via www.jobs.ac.uk. Applications are invited from second year undergraduates who wish to be nominated for externally funded Summer Vacation Scholarships that will be based in the Academic Division of Child Health. The successful students will have the opportunity to undertake a self-contained piece of novel research over an eight-week period during the summer vacation of 2007. They will have the chance to work in a highly productive and dynamic research environment with a large group of postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers. The total value of each scholarship paid directly to the student will be £1,000 approximately. Potential projects include - The nutritional and endocrine regulation of adipose tissue development.
