We are seeking applications from the ESPE membership for the position of member of the ESPE Summer School Steering Committee. The vacancy has arisen due to current member, Carla Bizzarri, moving into the position of Summer School Coordinator. The three-year appointment will start in November 2018.
The main task of the Summer School Committee is to develop the programme for the Summer School and participate in the evaluation of applicants for the School. The successful applicant is expected to attend and participate actively in the Summer School. He/she will teach and be involved in mentoring the students. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and impart your knowledge to paediatricians from across the world, while gaining valuable experience of different professional practices, cultures and teaching styles.
Applicants should have a wide knowledge of published literature in paediatric endocrinology in general and detailed knowledge in more than one specific area. Preference will be given to candidates whose interests are complementary to those of the current members of the steering committee.
The workload consists of email communication and preparation work, attendance at the Summer School, evaluation of submitted applications, and face to face steering committee meetings every year (during the Summer School).
The appointment will be made by the ESPE Council following recommendation by the Summer School Steering Committee.
If you are interested in applying for this post, please send an electronic copy of your CV and a covering letter to the ESPE Team at: [email protected] by 13 September 2018.
