Successful trial sees artificial pancreas manage type 1 diabetes

More than 100,000 people with type 1 diabetes in England are to be offered an artificial pancreas, following a successful trial in the UK.  The artificial pancreas that’s worn next to the body continually monitors blood glucose levels, adjusting and administering insulin - eliminating the need for finger-prick tests.
