Subspecialty senior training fellowship in Endocrinology (post-CCST), King’s College Hospital, London

A new post has been developed to enable an endocrinology SpR approaching completion of their CCST the unique opportunity to pursue subspecialty training in endocrinology, pituitary disease, endocrine oncology and obesity medicine based at King’s College Hospital. The post is envisaged to be a year 6/7 SpR subspecialty training position without the requirement for an NTN and would be available for up to two years duration.

King’s College Hospital is one of the most active tertiary referral centres for endocrine tumours in the UK with a total catchment area of 3.8million and with established, distinct multidisciplinary teams serving patients with pituitary, adrenal, thyroid and neuroendocrine tumours. The endocrine department also runs a morbid obesity service and supports a large bariatric surgical practice. The successful applicant is likely to have completed an MD or PhD thesis with career aspirations to become either a consultant clinician or clinical academic working in a tertiary centre.
