Study calls for ban on harmful chemicals in plastic food packaging

Analysis of plastic food packaging additives in Europe revealed the presence of hundreds of known harmful substances that can leach into food. The Swiss study, published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials, calls for more of these, several of which are endocrine disrupting, to be phased out.
