The University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking nurse to join the Endocrine Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team. This excellent opportunity is open to Band 5 nurses with at least 2 years of experience in acute care setting. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced specialist nurses in a tertiary Endocrine referral centre and will be given full structured training and supervision to develop their skills in Endocrinology.
The service centres around a busy outpatient department located at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The post holder will support the CNS team in running the Endocrine Day Case Unit by performing dynamic function tests, patient teaching/training as well as supporting nurse-led clinics.
Applicants must be registered with the NMC and competent in cannulation, venepuncture, intravenous therapy and ECG. Experience in Endocrinology is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Deadline for applications is 3 May.
