Specialty Certificate Examination in Endocrinology & Diabetes

28 Jan 2013

The Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) plays an essential role in the overall educational experience and assessment of trainees in the UK. It also provides a professional standard against which specialists working outside the UK can measure themselves. It is designed to assess knowledge and understanding of the clinical sciences relevant to specialist practice.

The SCE in Endocrinology & Diabetes is delivered jointly by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom, the Society for Endocrinology and the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists. Doctors across the world may be eligible to take the SCE at one of the many testing centres located in over 160 countries.

The examination date for the SCE in Endocrinology & Diabetes is 12 June 2013. Registration is now open until 8 May 2013 (the deadline has now passed for overseas candidates). More information on specialty training in endocrinology and diabetes is available at the SfE Clinical Portal (see box headed "Clinical trainees").
