The 2011 Specialty Certificate Examination in Endocrinology and Diabetes will take place on 1 June 2011. Entrants are eligible to sit the exam during higher specialty training after entering ST3, although it is recommended that they wait until their penultimate year of training.

UK entrants wanting to sit the examination must register by 27 April 2011. Registration is now closed for overseas candidates.

Trainees who pass the exam will be awarded a Certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes. Trainees who gain the Certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes and who are recommended for a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) will be entitled to apply for the postnominal MRCP(UK) (Endocrinology and Diabetes).
