The first of our new annual Society for Endocrinology BES meetings was a great success. We had 934 attendees throughout the four days with 27 exhibiting companies. Eight excellent plenary lectures and many other sessions were delivered. Many awards were presented for outstanding work and a total of 19 prizes were awarded to young endocrinologists.
