Society for Endocrinology Journal Impact Factors Announced

Thomson Reuters has revealed today this year's Impact Factors for four Society for Endocrinology publications. Impact factors are a metric that reflect the frequency that peer-reviewed journals are cited by researchers, making them an important tool for evaluating a journal’s quality.

The Journal of Molecular Endocrinology continues to improve in strength with an increased 2013 Impact Factor of 3.621. Our Editorial Board’s strict acceptance policy and impressive commissioning strategy continues to ensure that JME is a leading journal in basic endocrinology.

Endocrine-Related Cancer received a strong 2013 impact factor of 4.907 and remains in the top quartile in both its categories: oncology and endocrinology & metabolism, reinforcing its standing as the leading journal linking oncology and endocrinology. ERC’s underlying five-year impact factor, providing a longer-term measure of the journal’s quality, is 5.237.

The Journal of Endocrinology has received a 2013 impact factor of 3.586; the second highest it has ever received. Its five-year impact factor of 3.743, its highest ever, reflects the high-quality research and reviews published.

Clinical Endocrinology, the official clinical journal of the Society for Endocrinology, continues to stand strong with a 2013 Impact Factor of 3.353.
