Sense About Science media workshop - free places for trainee members! Apply NOW!

28 Apr 2010

Sense About Science is an organisation devoted to promoting good science in public debates.

On Friday 4 June they are holding a workshop aimed at early-career researchers, designed to give scientists an insight into the interaction between the scientific community, journalists and the media as a whole. Previous workshops have received excellent feedback.

SfE is pleased to be able to provide 5 free places to it's trainee (Clinician-in-training, Scientist-in-training and Associate) members to attend the workshop, accompanied by a travel grant of up to £200.

This is a unique opportunity to develop skills in science communication and public engagement, gaining expertise from senior scientists and journalists, as well as the dedicated Sense About Science staff. The deadline for applications to the free places and travel grant is 14 May 2010, and these will be awarded on a first come first serve basis. Applications must be accompanied by a CV.
