Senior Research Fellow (5 posts) - University of Oxford

12 Oct 2012

Via www.jobs.ac.uk. The Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics (DPAG) at the University of Oxford is launching a fellowship programme to recruit outstanding senior scientists who are international leaders in their research fields. Up to five Senior Research fellowships are offered to support late-career researchers, giving them the freedom to extend their research opportunities in a first-class research environment. The posts are offered as permanent after the successful completion of the usual probationary period.

The successful applicants will be established senior scientists with significant grant support (for which they are the Principal Investigator) whose work will synergise, but not directly compete - with the exiting science within DPAG's research themes. They will be recognised authorities within their fields, with an international publication record. The department would expect to provide suitable laboratory space for any group members who wished to relocate. A track record of success in the award of peer-reviewed research grants, a record of honours and prizes, and evidence of an ability to collaborate in research are desirable. Click on the link below for details of how to apply by the deadline of 25 October 2012.
