Via www.clinicalacademicjobs.org. The University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint a Senior Clinical Research Fellow or Clinical Research Fellow with a particular interest in breast cancer. You will be based at the University of Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre and the Western General Hospital, with clinical duties at the NHS Lothian Edinburgh Cancer Centre. The post holder’s responsibilities will be split equally between managing a clinical practise in breast cancer and developing a translational laboratory based research programme in breast cancer. You will be a key new appointment to the exciting and dynamic research environment of the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre, which aims to inspire and train the next generation of cancer researchers and works in close collaboration with the Edinburgh Cancer Centre.

The successful candidate will have an established research interest in cancer research, preferably breast cancer, although consideration will be given to candidates with experience in another cancer area that is within the strategic vision of the ECRC. The post holder will be expected to be at, or above, the level of a fourth year oncology specialist trainee in the UK or equivalent and hold a PhD or MSc with demonstrable research experience.
