Senior Biomedical Scientist, Leeds

Via healthjobsuk.com. The Spire Leeds Hospital Pathology Department is looking to recruit an energetic, enthusiastic HPC Registered Biomedical Scientist to join their friendly team. The primary role of the post will be the day to day running and Quality Assurance of the immunoassay section of the lab including providing a supra regional service for thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and reproductive hormones. This will be provided under the clinical direction of a Consultant Chemical Pathologist. In addition to this, working in haematology and transfusion on rotation, and participation in a multi disciplinary on call rota is expected for which training will be given as appropriate.

We are looking for a highly motivated, capable and effective organiser who will be prepared to work in a flexible way as team player with good communication skills. Candidates must have substantial post registration experience, including a specialist portfolio in biochemistry (or equivalent experience) and at least 2 years experience running immunoassay.
