MRC Human Nutrition Research (HNR) conducts nutrition research and surveillance to improve the health of the population with a focus on obesity and metabolic risk, musculoskeletal health, intestinal health and nutritional inequalities. It currently has an opportunity for an experienced LC-MS/MS scientist to lead the development and implementation of analysis of vitamin status markers based on quantitative mass spectrometry, initially focusing on folate and vitamin D.

Candidates must be experienced in the development and validation of LC-MS/MS assays as well as the provision of high-quality routine analyses and working to deadlines. For a candidate with management experience in addition to technical expertise, there is potential for further development.
