A global organization is looking to fund collaboration research projects related to intrinsic (chronologic) skin aging i.e. skin aging mainly attributed to intrinsic factors such as genetic predisposition and changes in the endocrine environment. Of special interest is the physiology of elderly skin relevant to its barrier functions.
The goal is to fund a 6 to 12 month research collaboration with a view to funding longer term research projects, for 1-2 researchers, of up to 5 years in duration. Both academic institutes and commercial organizations could be potential partners. To qualify as a partner you must be affiliated to a research organization or have at least access to research facilities.
This is a 'Challenge' posted to Innocentive, a crowdsourcing site. There is no predetermined award, which would instead comprise a contract with the funder to conduct collaborative work and/or to provide materials and services to the funder in the future. The deadline for proposals is 19 August 2013. For more information please visit the Challenge advert.
