Working for The Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS) you will study mitochondrial function in health and mitochondrial defects as a result of aging or the progression of chronic diseases such as Type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. Your scientific and business mindset will permit you to find solution and design research with impact on product development in the field of nutrition. You are prepared to deal with challenges along the scientific discovery path. Your proactive cooperation and team work spirit will allow you to be successful in this position by working closely with genomic, proteomics and metabolomics platforms within the NIHS.

Successful candidates will have gained 2-5 years of postdoctoral training and possess a scientific background in one of the relevant disease areas (Type 2 diabetes or neurodegenerative diseases). They will also be able to demonstrate a strong background working with transformed cells and primary culture (pancreatic beta-cells, neurons, astrocytes or other primary cells). Good spoken and written English is essential with French a plus.
