Science Policy Officer - Society of Biology, London

12 Nov 2010

The Society of Biology is committed to ensuring that Government and other policy makers - including funders of biological education and research – have a distinct point of access to authoritative, independent, and evidence-based opinion, representative of the widest range of bioscience disciplines.

They are seeking a graduate of biological sciences or equivalent with demonstrable analytical skills, an understanding of the policy environment, excellent oral and written English, and the ability to work to deadlines and to facilitate and influence dialogue with a range of people, including senior scientists and policymakers. A higher degree, communication and/or policy experience would be valuable but not essential for the right candidate. The Officer will contribute to a broad range of activities in support of the Society’s policy development.

The deadline for applications is 19 November 2010. For more information please follow the link below (N.B. you will need to log in to the Society of Biology website to be able to view the full job description).
