Risk of cancer and diabetes associated with ultra-processed food consumption

A study presented in The Lancet Regional Health – Europe has linked the consumption of ultra-processed food (UPF) with the increased risk of risk of multimorbidity of cancer and cardiometabolic diseases including diabetes. The study found a 9% increase in this risk among people consuming high amounts UPF.
