Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust is the UK’s largest charity for people affected by brain tumours. Research funding remains a top priority into the cause, cure and treatment of brain tumours. This is a new full time position, based in Yateley, Hampshire, to run the rapidly expanding research programme undertaken by the Charity. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of research methodologies and will manage the delivery of the Charity’s strategy for funding basic, clinical and translational brain tumour research. The manager will also provide day to day advice to the Chief Executive and Trustees on matters of scientific policy and the interpretation and communication of scientific information. A relevant PhD qualification and excellent analytical and IT skills are essential for the candidate to review and evaluate progress in the respective research. Excellent communication skills are required to develop and maintain good external relations with the research community. Salery: c. £35000. Deadline for applications is Friday 8 February 2008.
