Research & Information Executive - Epilepsy Research UK
Can you explain how our brains work? Epilepsy is an incredibly complex condition. Explaining our research to patients and donors in words that anyone can understand is vital to the success of the charity. That is why the Research & Information Executive at Epilepsy Research UK holds a key position within the organisation being responsible for all of our science based communications (web and print). We are looking for a graduate (with a good honours degree) in a scientific discipline, preferably with a postgraduate qualification or experience in research or a closely related area of work. A knowledge of epilepsy is not an essential requirement but some experience in neuroscience would be an advantage. The postholder is also responsible for administering the charity’s research grant programme and organising our scientific conferences. If you’ve got a background in medical writing, strong organisational skills, knowledge of XHTML and are looking for a job where your input really counts, we’d like to hear from you. Location: West London, salary c. £30,000 pa. To apply, please send a copy of your CV and covering letter explaining why you would be suitable for the position to: Leigh Slocombe, Chief Executive, Epilepsy Research UK, 261a Chiswick High road, London, W4 4PU.
