An opportunity has arisen to join the Research & Development Directorate at the Parkinson's Disease Society as a Research Communications Manager (maternity cover). You will be responsible for gathering ideas from the members and from the research community regarding priorities in Parkinson’s Disease (PD) Research and Development (R&D) and their information needs. You will also communicate the results of Parkinson's Disease Society (PDS)-sponsored (and other) research into PD, to the members and to groups whom the PDS may wish to influence. The Ideal Candidate will have: Experience working with healthcare professionals; Experience working with research workers and an appreciation of the research process in the UK; Experience interacting with customers of research; Good Communication Skills; Ability to provide mentorship; An understanding of the importance of R&D to the PDS; Strong admin skills and commitment to tracking progress against objectives or demonstrate the ability to transfer related skills Please email your completed applications to [email protected] by the 12th November 2007.
