The Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust is a growing organisation, and as part of this the Research & Policy department is increasing its activities. The policy focus of the department’s work includes involvement with the Brain Tumour Consortium and All Party Parliamentary Group on Brain Tumours, development of position statements on matters of policy and undertaking projects on specific issues affecting brain tumour research and people with this condition. This area of our work has been gathering momentum over the past year, and we are looking to further enhance this.

Under the direction of the Head of Research & Policy, the postholder will: lead on policy initiatives for the organisation; be responsible for ensuring internal and external audiences are kept up-to-date with developments in our research, and all communications with research content are high quality and accurate; keep abreast of developments in research and policy relevant to the organisation’s work; work with other SDBTT staff members to ensure activities that crossover with other departments are carried out effectively, and that information is shared; and undertake overall coordination and administration for policy and research communications activities
