The Imperial College London Division of Cancer is a 300-strong group of scientists, doctors and technical staff engaged in basic and translational cancer research.
As part of a new Cancer Research UK funded 5-year programme grant based in the Cancer Centre, this Research Associate position will work on a project titled Notch and gamma secretase as targets for treatment. The project will involve elucidating signaling mechanisms activating notch-induced genes and the exploitation as possible targets to reverse endocrine resistance in breast cancer.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent qualification in biochemistry, pharmacology or a related subject. Experience with in vivo models and pharmacological assays involved in drug development is desirable. The deadline for applications is 30 August 2010.
