Via www.jobs.ac.uk. A newly appointed fellow is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant based at Churchill Hospital, Headington, Oxford. This role will involve the isolation of pancreatic islets, hormone assays using RIA, ELISA and MULTIPLEX systems, transfection and PCR, immunocytochemistry and microfluorimetry and basic electrophysiology.

You will be educated to degree level, have experience in working in a research environment and be willing to learn and develop new skills. You must have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Experience of islet isolation and tissue culture and some molecular biological techniques would be an advantage.
