12 Feb 2013

Added via Euraxess. The Institute of Biochemistry of the Romanian Academy seeks an early-stage researcher to work on the project “Fabrication of osteoinductive orthopaedic implants with gradual 3D hierarchical structure”. The goal of the project is to develop a laser deposited multilayered protein structure to enhance bone implant osseointegration with the following specific aims: 1. Designing and executing experiments to evaluate implant coating generated responses in the osteoprogenitor cell proliferation and differentiation pattern; 2. Defining growth factor release kinetics from biocompatible and/or biodegradable polymer matrices; 3. Exploring how these factors can improve bone tissue regeneration at the implant sites by means of physics and cell biology techniques.
