The research and communications officer will play an essential role: connecting research, communications and policy, coordinating workshops and events, and engaging with our member charities, the research and policy communities. As part of a small but influential team, you’ll have immediate responsibility and plenty of scope to grow your role as you develop.
Applicants should have a degree in a biological or biomedical sciences subject, with experience and understanding of the culture of medical research in UK universities. They should be self disciplined, with the ability to hit the ground running and thrive in a busy environment with multiple challenges. This job may especially suit someone with a PhD or postgraduate science communication qualification, looking to rapidly develop their skills and experience in communications and project management.Click on the link below for a full job description. To apply for this post, please send your CV and a covering letter, which should outline your interest in applying for the role and explain how you meet the criteria, to Dr Sara Ellis, communications manager, AMRC, [email protected], by 14 June 2012.
