The Clinical Research Networks for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) are transitioning to a Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN). The RRDN will operate as one organisation with a shared vision and purpose.
Within the RRDN, endocrinology and diabetes will be represented together. There are two roles available for each region: a Regional Research Setting Lead and a Regional Research Specialty Lead.
Recruitment will begin soon, with all appointments expected to be made by October 2024. The 12 regions will operate their own recruitment process.
The Society strongly encourages members to capply for these positions. By stepping into these roles, members can play a crucial part in ensuring that endocrinology remains well-represented within the new RRDN structure.
Further information about the RRDN is available on the NIHR website.
Please note, the Society for Endocrinology is a non-commercial partner of NIHR and will continue to support the Diabetes and Metabolic & Endocrine National Specialty Group.
