RCN endorses Competency Framework for Adult Endocrine Nursing

We are delighted to announce that the Royal College of Nursing, the UK’s largest member organisation for nurses, has formally endorsed the Society for Endocrinology’s Competency Framework for Adult Endocrine Nursing. Recognising those nurses who are ‘experts’ in certain disease areas and ‘competent’ in others, the competency framework enables nurses, clinical managers and recruiters to identify their current level of practice and plan their career in a more structured way. The Competency Framework for Adult Endocrine Nursing addresses the need for a UK-wide standard for endocrine nurses and the RCN’s accreditation demonstrates the Society for Endocrinology’s continued commitment to supporting endocrine nurses to deliver the best quality of care.
