Rare Disease Day 2011

31 Jan 2011

Rare Disease Day is marked internationally on 28 February, with the purpose of raising awareness of rare diseases amongst policy makers and the general public.

Rare Disease UK (RDUK) will be marking Rare Disease Day by holding four parliamentary receptions across the UK, in order to bring the issue to the attention of politicians and improve the delivery of healthcare services to this challenging area.

Anyone with an interest in rare diseases may attend the events, but you must first register with Rare Disease UK in advance (to see dates and register, go to the Rare Disease UK website, where you can find other ways of getting involved).
