The Doctor and the Master is a public event organised by the Society which will explore the biology of the pituitary or 'Master gland'. The event will take place during Edinburgh International Science Festival at 18:00 – 19:30, Thursday 21 April 2011, and will look at the key roles of the pituitary in controlling metabolism, growth and fertility as well as what happens when the Master goes rogue.
