Project Support Officer, University of York

10 Aug 2011

The University of York Health Sciences department is seeking a Project Support Officer to work on a National Institute of Health Research-funded Programme Grant for Applied Research. This programme of research is being undertaken in collaboration with NHS Leeds Community Healthcare and has been underway for two years. The over-arching aim of this programme is to optimise the quality of care and outcomes for people with, or at risk of, complex wounds (for example leg and foot ulcers and pressure ulcers).

The research within the programme is organised around three workstreams; workstream two is particularly focused on the patient and carer perspective and as part of that we are establishing a James Lind Alliance Pressure Ulcer Partnership. We are keen to develop a dialogue with patients, carers and clinicians in the field of pressure ulcers initially and develop a research agenda that reflects patients' and carers' priorities, clinicians' uncertainties and priorities as well as gaps in the evidence base.
