Professor Steve Bloom receives a knighthood!

The Society for Endocrinology would like to congratulate Professor Steve Bloom on receiving a knighthood in the 2012 New Year Honours list. Professor Sir Steve Bloom (Imperial College London) was Chairman of the Society for Endocrinology from November 2002–2005 and prior to that General Secretary from 1999. He was awarded the Society for Endocrinology Dale Medal in 2003. Professor Sir Steve received his knighthood in recognition of his services to Medical Science and is credited with transforming how obesity is understood. Further information
