The Athena Award is presented annually by the Athena Project to a woman who has contributed significantly to the Athena Project's aims, namely 'the advancement of women in science, engineering and technology in higher education and a significant increase in the number of women recruited to the top posts.'
Professor Buckingham will present the work that led to this prestigious accolade in the Athena Lecture entitled "No escape from stress". The one-hour lecture will take place at 16:00, Wednesday 30 June 2010 at Imperial College London, South Kensington Campus.
