Prizes and awards available at SfE BES 2013 annual conference

Several prizes and awards are up for grabs for those submitting abstracts to the Society for Endocrinology BES 2013 meeting (18-21 March, Harrogate).

Young Endocrinologists’ Prizes - The two top-scoring oral communications by Young Endocrinologists will each receive £500, with £100 for any that are highly commended.

Clinical Endocrinology Trust Prizes - The Trust is generously funding two £500 prizes for the best clinical and basic science abstracts and one £100 prize for the best ‘Nursing practice’ abstract, where the nurse is the first author.

British Thyroid Association (BTA) Award - The BTA will present an award for a high-scoring abstract in the ‘Thyroid’ category, where the first author is under 35.

AMEND (Association for Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Disorders) Young Investigator Award - This £300 honorarium, certificate and medal will be awarded to the first author of the top-scoring abstract on ‘Neoplasia, cancer and late effects’.

Annette Louise Seal Memorial Award - The Addison's Disease Self Help Group will present this £500 award for the ‘Nursing practice’ abstract which best advances the clinical management of adrenal insufficiency, where the first author is a nurse.

The deadline for abstract submissions to be considered for one of the above awards is 15 November 2012.
