Postdoctoral studies in bone and cartilage biology, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden

The Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, is looking for a highly motivated postdoc fellow who will work within projects aimed at finding new mechanisms governing growth of the skeleton. They are exploring the role of mTOR-autophagy pathway in the regulation of cell size and cell survival. To qualify, the applicant must hold a doctor’s degree or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a doctorate in a relevant field. The applicant must have more than 3 years of experience in experimental research. Previous experience with animal research is desirable. The position is initially for 1 year with a possible extension up to 4 years, depending on project development and performance. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: education and previous training; relevance to the project; publication and track record; motivation.

Scholarships to pursue postdoctoral studies may be awarded to individuals who come from other countries with the intention of remaining in Sweden only while obtaining all or part of their education.
