Postdoctoral researcher in cardiovascular and metabolic research, Karolinska Institute, Switzerland

A highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher is sought for dissecting the molecular and cellular mechanisms of how exercise exerts its beneficial effects on the organism. The successful applicant will lead two projects in the front line of the field of metabolic disease. Specifically, the focus will be on how exercise and physical activity affect non-muscle tissue such as the heart and adipose tissue, and the projects will in part be follow-up studies but also involve completely novel effects of exercise on the organism.
