Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Churchill Hospital, Headington, Oxford are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Assistant who will be working on the regulation of beta-cell electrical activity and the possible role played by Tpc1 and Tpc2 Ca2+-release channels.

Candidates should hold a PhD degree in a medical/biological subject or equivalent and have previous experience of electrophysiology. Experience of Ca2+-imaging, tissue culture and immunocytochemistry is also desirable but not necessary. You will have previous laboratory experience, ideally in a similar research field. Applications from highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Assistants who wish to gain research experience before seeking independent fellowship funding are particularly welcome. You must have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
