Postdoctoral position in molecular mechanisms of sex development in humans, University of Fribourg, Switzerland

A postdoctoral position is available at the newly created Division of Endocrinology of the Medical Faculty of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, to study the molecular mechanisms of sex development in humans. Other projects in the lab include the analysis of the pathophysiology of monogenic forms of diabetes and of type I diabetes, with special attention to pancreatic beta-cells regeneration processes, as a possible alternative for the treatment and cure of diabetes.

Applicants should have recently completed a PhD in the biological sciences, in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or related areas. An MD degree with laboratory experience is also acceptable. A strong background in endocrinology or metabolism and prior experience in mammalian cell culture and a broad interest in translational research will be important selection criteria. Good command of the English language is essential. Knowledge of German or French is also an advantage.
