A highly motivated and talented postdoctoral fellow is sought to join a project that will study the role of growth hormone (GH)/insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) in bone growth and metabolism. The project will involve heavy work with mouse models, micro-CT analyses and histomorphometrical studies. The fellow will also be involved in the biochemical and molecular characterisation of GH/IGF-1 dependent genes in bone. The laboratory is located in The NYU College of Dentistry, Manhattan NY.

Funding is currently available for up to two years, with a possibility to submit a fellowship grant to NIH. Requirements: PhD or MD degree. Applicants should have experience in handling mouse colonies, molecular biology and cell culture methods, and a basic understanding of fundamental bone biology. Applicant should have a good publication record, excellent writing and reporting skills, as well as propensity to drive and focus to work at a highly competitive international level with full commitment to publication of data.
