Post-Doctoral Research Assistant

The University of Edinburgh is inviting applications for a post-doctoral research assistant to work in the Endocrinology Unit, Centre for Cardiovascular Science on a project entitled "RNA editing of the 5-HT2C (serotonin) receptor in mood and eating disorders." The successful applicant will have a PhD and and a background in either neuroscience or relevant physiology with previous experience of in vivo phenotyping. Experience in molecular/cellular biology techniques will be an advantage. The post is funded by a Wellcome Trust Project Grant for 3 years and based in an internationally-renowned research environment in the Endocrinology Unit, Centre for Cardiovascular Science at the Queen's Medical Research Institute, the recently opened laboratory accommodation for 600 leading medical researchers at the new Royal Infirmary campus.
