Mount Sinai School of Medicine's Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work in the laboratory of Dr. Christoph Buettner. Currently, Dr. Buettner’s laboratory focuses on studying the role of the brain in the control of metabolism and inflammation using physiological study techniques such as euglycemic clamp techniques, optogenetics and stereotactic infusions to assess whole body glucose and lipid homeostasis and inflammation. The laboratory is also interested in studying the role of hypothalamic control of hepatic lipid and glucose metabolism in liver and adipose tissue to advance our knowledge of why metabolism is impaired in obesity, diabetes and Alzheimer's disease.
