Policy Officer - The Brain Tumour Charity

The Brain Tumour Charity is the main brain tumour charity in the UK and this year will raise over £4.5 million. They work to improve understanding; diagnosis and treatment of both childhood and adult brain tumours and to ensure people affected by brain tumours have access to support.

Their small Research and Policy team is responsible for managing the Charity’s research grant-making activities and policy engagement programme and with their activities rapidly expanding, they are now looking to recruit a Policy Officer.

The key purpose of this new role will be to:

- research and develop evidence-based policies and messaging on key issues relevant to brain tumours and those affected by them.

- engage with the NHS, Department of Health, NHS bodies, Public Health England, other professional bodies and charities to influence policy on brain tumour services.

- support effective working relationships with other organisations active in policy in brain tumours and rarer cancers and medical research.

This full time position is located in Farnborough, Hampshire and offers a salary in the region of £25,000.
