Plenary Lecture 8 'Novel molecular link between the circadian clock and hypertension' - 13:40, Main Hall

30 Apr 2012

We end our ICE/ECE 2012 series of plenary lectures on a high with a fascinating talk from Professor Hitoshi Okamura (Japan) entitled 'Novel molecular link between the circadian clock and hypertension' - it is sure to enthral all those attending. Plenary Lecture 8 will take place at 13:40–14:25 in the Main Hall and will be chaired by Professor Mark McClean (Australia).

Professor Hitoshi Okamura is Head of Department of Systems Biology at Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan where his lab's main theme of research is unravelling the molecular mechanisms of the mammalian circadian clock. Today, he will discuss his research using knockout mouse models to measure the importance of the biological clock on our health. Come along and learn all about the control of the body's daily rhythms from the expert, Professor Okamura.
