Pituitary Foundation Petition

06 Dec 2010

The Pituitary Foundation is petitioning for the NHS to source a pen device to provide easy access to a hydrocortisone injection for those patients at risk of Addisonian or adrenal crises, following reports from their members that an injection is extremely difficult to prepare and use in the event of an intercurrent illness or other stressor.

They need your signature to support them in raising awareness of this issue and promoting the needed change to more user-friendly hydrocortisone injection devices so that people with pituitary conditions have access to the injection they need in emergency situations. To do this, they ask that you sign an on-line petition (link below) and tell family, friends and colleagues, encouraging them to do the same. Please spread the word far and wide. More information on the campaign is available at the link below.
