Added via NatureJobs. The Department of Life Sciences of the University of Rennes invites applications for a tenure full Professorship for Animal Physiology. The successful candidate will take immediate action to reinforce the existing teaching tracks of the License in biology and the Master BAS (Biologie-Agro-Santé). The applicant is expected to have an integrative view of the main physiological functions taking into account the different organizational levels and the complexity of the living. More specifically, needs expressed by local teams call for a strengthening of teaching in the fields of physiopathology and endocrine disruption. The successful applicant will have to be a driving force in the design of new training modules, notably at the international level.

The successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to work with the national and international recognized multi-disciplinary “National Institute on Health and Environment” (http://www.irset.org/). The successful candidate is expected to contribute to a research line in the field of comparative and integrative physiology, with special emphasis on the development and functioning of the endocrine circuits in normal and pathological situations.
