PhD Studentship - Role of PTHrP in placental development and function

Based in the Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Manchester, this PhD in physiology will be supervised by Dr Sue Kimber and Dr Jocelyn Glazier and is due to start in October 2009. The project will investigate how parathyroid hormone related peptide (PTHrP) regulates placental morphological development in relation to placental transport efficiency and growth of the developing foetus. Students with a background in animal biology, cell biology, developmental biology, physiology or another related subject are encouraged to apply.
