Added via Euraxess. This PhD project will provide the first in-depth investigation of the patterns, sources, and mechanisms of personality trait development during the period of adolescence. Capitalizing on longitudinal data collected as part of two large-scale panel studies, this project is aimed at providing a comprehensive picture of the patterns, conditions, and mechanisms of personality development in adolescents. The use of multi-informant data from the adolescents themselves, their mothers, fathers, siblings, and friends will allow for a differentiated and multi-faceted description of the developmental trajectories of personality traits. In addition to questionnaire data, daily-diary data, hormone measures, and lab tests will be used to provide a comprehensive picture of the conditions and processes of personality development during the period of adolescence.
